Pipe Fittings
PIPE FITTINGS: TYPES
Pipe Fittings are connections used to connect two pipes. The connection provides a firm bound to the pipe which ensures mechanical and structural strength to hold the equipment. It also ensures the free flow of liquid in the process. Pipe fittings are either welded to pipes or fitted using thread connections depending on the application and type. Steel Pipe fittings can connect to pipes in one of two ways, either by threads or by slip fit. Threaded pipes are pipes that screw together to connect, while slip fit pipes use sleeves that slip into one another. We manufacture and organize the fittings by male & female connectors such as:

PRODUCTION OF PIPE FITTINGS
We have a state of the art mill facilities, access which runs at a full capacity due to export order overload. We have heavy punch machines for making seamless tees. We also have bend machines for elbows and equipment for reducers. We have facilities to make seamless pipe fittings up to 8” We can make welded pipe fittings up to 42”. We also have threads in NPT, BSPT & BSPP to make forged fittings.
The dye of socket weld fitting is outsourced and machining and finishing is done in-house. Added to that we have in-house testing facilities like Spectro machine, PMI Machine, Mechanical test, Hardness Test, Ultrasonic Testing, Hydrostatic Testing, Pressure testing, and manual inspection of the gauge. Our product range also includes flanges and fasteners which are considered piping accessories for a pipeline set up.
Butt weld fittings
Butt weld fittings are produced using pipes as a primary raw material. The fittings are made into the desired shape and size using various machines and heat treatment if required. Followed by that the ends are subject to beveling using CNC Machining. That is followed by sandblasting for finishing of the fitting. Final process involves quality testing and marking.
Socket weld fittings & Olets
We primarily rely on outsourced services to manufacture socket weld fittings and olets due to a lot of dyes readily available with our sub vendors. However, machining takes place in the house, followed by finishing and marking for traceability of the base material.
QUALITY CONTROL OF PIPE FITTINGS
Midland Alloys is backed by all world class certifications including ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007 & CE-PED 97/23/EC. We are also members of various renowned agencies and Chambers of Commerce including MASSMA, EEPC, FICCI, FIEO, Indian Merchants Chamber etc. We provide a 1 year product replacement warranty for all pipe fittings exported from our company. We guarantee the quality because 100% pipe fittings manufactured are checked in-house for defects in quality and workmanship.
We guarantee the quality because 100% pipe fittings manufactured are checked in-house for defects in quality and workmanship. Our quality program is a 3 layered independent department check for various factors, including Dimensional Check, Visual Inspection, and Finishing, Burr level, Leakage Test, Pressure Rating test, Chemical inspection and Mechanical properties verification.
We are running at full capacity and sometimes outsource our job due to increased workload. Our intelligent procurement module places a lot of emphasis on selection of raw material. As much as possible, we try to procure Japanese and European origin raw material domestically or from the international markets. Secondary preference is given to Indian and Chinese origin raw material from good quality mills.
PACKING AND DOCUMENTATION OF PIPE FITTINGS
Our pipe fittings are packed in special and branded carton boxes and crates depending on the mode of transport. Fittings are wrapped with a special thin plastic film and the beveled ends are protected with plastic caps. They are then packed in the carton or wooden boxes. Socket weld fittings are also protected by the caps for protection to the ends and the threads where applicable.
It is important that the damages in transit are avoided and pipe fittings are intact when they reach the customers. Thus we place lots of emphasis on packing and packaging of the goods. Pipe fittings carry various export documents such as commercial invoice, packing list, Test Reports, HS Code, Country of Origin attested by the chamber of commerce, Fumigation Certificate, Warranty Letter, and Base Material Certificates.
Each heat and lot of tube fittings are supplied with a material test certificate as per EN 10204 NACE 3.1 standards indicating the chemical and mechanical properties of the pipe fittings along with pressure rating. We also confirm the guarantee of the fittings supplied as per Purchase Order specifications and attest the same in the Material Test Certificate. We also welcome any third party inspection from an agency nominated by the customer to comply with NACE 3.2 Certification if required by the customer at an extra cost. Free samples in Stainless steel and carbon steel can be provided upon request to gauge quality and finishing of our fittings against confirmed receipt of purchase order. We can also send photos upon request.
